In 1996 a small business called “Delta Rentals” opened operations in downtown San Pedro Sula with only 10 cars. During the next five years the company grew and served primarily corporate accounts in San Pedro Sula and the near cities. In 2001 the company changed its name to Euro American Rent a Car and by this time it had offices in San Pedro Sula and the airport. Through the following years it gained market share in the local retail and airport market. By 2005 the company made an affiliation with Advantage Rent a Car and now had presence throughout all the GDS systems. In 2006 Euro American has opened offices in Tegucigalpa and Toncontin Airport and has a fleet of over 220 vehicles. By year 2007 the company has plans to expand in the other two major cities which are La Ceiba and Roatan, Bay Islands.
